The Early Adoption Accelerator is a new initiative to accelerate the uptake of emissions reduction tools on farm by removing adoption barriers and demonstrating the tools in action.
Through bespoke, large scale, sector-led projects, the Accelerator is designed to advance farmer-led uptake and bridge the gap between the early availability and widespread use of proven emissions reduction tools on-farm.
Co-funds bespoke, large scale, sector-led projects to drive early adoption of proven emissions reduction tools.
Focuses on proven tools which have satisfied relevant safety and regulatory requirements e.g. low-methane sheep genetics, EcoPond effluent pond service.
Government funding covers up to 50% of project costs.
AgriZeroNZ administers the initiative and works closely with project partners.
Open to farming businesses, product developers and agribusinesses who want to lead or participate in projects that advance the use of proven emissions reduction tools on New Zealand farms (minimum $500,000 contribution).
