The Early Adoption Accelerator is a new initiative to support the uptake of emissions reduction tools on farm.
With a range of new tools expected to become available soon, the Accelerator aims to remove barriers to adoption and demonstrate the tools on farm.
Through co-funded, sector-led projects, the Accelerator is designed to bridge the gap between early availability and widespread use of proven emissions reduction tools on-farm.
Co-funds projects to support farmer-led uptake by removing adoption barriers (such as awareness, cost, accessibility and ease of use) and demonstrating the tools on-farm.
Open to farming businesses, product developers and agribusinesses who want to collaborate on projects that advance the use of proven emissions reduction tools on New Zealand farms.
Focuses on proven tools which have satisfied relevant safety and regulatory requirements but need support to scale e.g. low-methane sheep genetics, EcoPond effluent pond service.
Funding available to cover 50% of project costs, from government via AgriZeroNZ
