Lucidome Bio is a new venture setup by AgriZeroNZ. Its mission is to develop the world’s most effective vaccine to reduce methane emissions from livestock.
Lucidome Bio builds on the pioneering work of Kiwi scientists from AgResearch which has shown that a world-first methane vaccine for ruminant animals is achievable.
Lucidome Bio has identified a range of promising prototype vaccines and is carrying out cattle trials to validate effectiveness.
The company is focused on demonstrating the key elements of a commercial vaccine over the next two years and getting a vaccine approved by regulators and into the hands of farmers within the next five years.
