A summary of our progress to get emissions reduction tools into farmers' hands (as at 31 March 2026) - now with enhanced detail on the tools we have invested in and earliest availability.
$79.9m now committed across 18 ventures and research projects, including:
Low-methane sheep genetics: Joint investment with Ag Emissions Centre, Beef + Lamb New Zealand and the Ministry for Primary Industries to boost farmer uptake (new)
Rumin8: Australian-based company developing products using a compound which reduces methane emissions in livestock (new)
Nbryo: To increase the Australian company’s focus on bringing its embryo transfer technology to New Zealand (follow-on, revealed from Q2)
26 potential investment opportunities on our radar as we continue to scan the globe for solutions that will work for our pasture-based farms and build a diverse portfolio of tools for farmers.
