A summary of our progress to get emissions reduction tools into farmers' hands, as at 31 December 2024.
We’ve committed funds to two new venture investments, however the details of these are currently undisclosed due to ongoing funding rounds and confidentiality requirements.
$46.2 million has now been committed across 13 investments and research projects.
81 potential investment opportunities are on our radar as we continue to scan the globe for solutions that will work for our pastoral farming system.
Final progress payment to Hoofprint Biome Inc, as part of our USD$2.5m (NZD$4.2m) commitment announced in September 2023. The US start-up is developing novel probiotics and enzymes to reduce methane emissions from cows – and it’s made good progress, achieving all agreed milestones.
Held our first meeting with our Farmer Focus Group, a diverse group of 12 farmers who will help us ensure emissions mitigation tools are fit-for-purpose.
